For Laura

For my lovely, intelligent, imaginative, plant-loving sister. Happy Birthday!

Sister Missionaries

I got to do an illustration for this month's Friend, a children's magazine published by the LDS Church. This illustration is

about the 7th Article of Faith, which states: "We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth." The gift of tongues is particularly applicable to missionaries who serve in countries all over the world and in many cases learn to teach the gospel in languages which are foreign to them. (As a former missionary in Hungary, I can testify that this is a thing!)

James

A recent portrait commission. My job is especially fun when I get to paint adorable kiddos!

Happy Walrus

A happy walrus painting: this little commission reminded me of my love for acrylics and inspired me to do my next series in that medium. Fun times ahead!

Woodland Critters

It's been in my head for a while now to paint a series of woodland critters and make them available as prints. Here's what I've come up with so far:

Here are a few that came out that could be part of a secondary, non-woodland series:

And, just for kicks, a couple of outliers that could stand alone or become a series of their own:

They're pretty rough at this stage, but I'd love to hear which are your favorites and why! Feedback welcomed.
