Afro experiment

As usual, the colors are totally wacked (as in different than they were on the screen when I was working on it). Oh well. This is a really fun technique, starting in Illustrator and moving to Photoshop. I'd like to get more creative with it next time. Thanks for the help, Mr. Franson: I couldn't have done it without you. Literally.

I really like the colors in your image. They standout and compliment eachother well. And this might sound weird but the color of his lips looks really soft and well done. The only thing I would change is that his head looks like its ontop of his hair instead of the other way around. Maybe by changing the direction of the drop shadow you could get the highlights on his nose and the cast shadow by his ears so it looked like the hair was over the ears.

I think this is a hilarious experiment! Way funny. I think your raindrop characters from children's book illustration class last year would look so fun in this medium and style.
