I got a little carried away with the drawing and kind of skimped on the painting time, which is disappointing. But I'm finally getting excited about painting in Photoshop.
Nice work Becca. I really enjoy the boy’s expression, it says a lot. Your drawing is great also.
I've picked your "Sprout illustration to receive the award again this week. Congrats!
I do have a few critiques though. To me, the trees don't feel finished enough. I think it is the fact that they have no shadow shapes. All your figures have cast shadow shapes on their faces and the trees are flat. Also, the woman crying wiping a tear in the back seems to come forward to much because of dark value of her hair.

the drawing is so right on, i feel like i know each characters relationship to the boy, and he looks so pleased. unique, funny idea.

Terrific work!
Nice Illustration. I think that you 'skimped' on the painting adds
to the look of it. It gives it a nice style.
