Illustration Friday: Gravity

Inspiration can be painful sometimes, as Sir Newton is about to find out the hard way. Who first came up with the falling piano gag, anyway? Pure genius. But maybe I should have gone for historical accuracy and made it a harpsicord, what do you think?

Anyway, I enjoy this technique. I forgot to put the apples in at first and had to go back and try to patch it up, and I'm not terribly pleased with the solution, but oh well.

Wow, I really like your style and I like the concept where you've taken two clichés of gravity and combined them to create something original.

This is wonderful. You listed the medium as digital--did you do this in the computer? I've done this type of style before on paper with tempera paint forming a resist for india ink--but if there's a way to do it on the computer I'd like to know that too!

Thanks, Dad. I'm sure your comment carries no bias whatsoever.

..As for questions on the technique--check under comments on the previous post, "Lino-cut experiment."

Jó napot kívánok! I love the unexpected combination of the piano instead of the apple. I think having a harpsichord fall would be great. (I also LOVE your sprout post. Funny/Cute)

Hey thanks for your comment on my gravity illustration.

Nem Magyar vagyok. Csak egy kicsit Beszélek Magyarul. I just studied in Budapest for a semester in college. It has been a while. I'm surprised I remember.
